IT startups in Armenia face a number of local and global issues, from global instability to incorrect tax policies and HR issues. NEWS.am Tech spoke with the head of Brain Fors, Gurgen Gharibyan, about these problems and ways to solve them.
The most important global problem, which affects many local companies, and many foreign companies as well, is the instability in the world. As for local issues, tax policy and the human factor occupy an important place among them.
"The human factor is extremely important for any company, and for startups, it is doubly important. The whole business is built on qualified professionals. However, the problem is that there are fewer such specialists in regional cities than in Yerevan.
Gyumri, however, managed to solve this problem, and therefore today there are more technology companies and startups in this city than in any other regional city of Armenia.
Brainfors is one of the companies established in Gyumri and continuing its activities there. According to Gharibyan, the company now has 24 employees, all of whom are local.
